One day to go for Iraq

Iraqi leaders are being urged by the U.S. to hammer out an agreement for their new constitution one day before the scheduled deadline. Two key issues are holding up the talks:

Talks seem to be concentrating on the issues such as federalism and the role of Islam in the state issues which have for weeks blocked progress on the draft of the charter, which Washington considers a key part of the process to curb a Sunni-dominated insurgency.

Although there is still a lot of uncertainty as to what form this new government will take, it is still amazing to see this country at such a momentous point in it's history. This is a proud time for Iraqis and don't let a cynical press convince you otherwise.
