Hilary 2008

Newsmax has an encouraging story about Hillary's (non) chances in 2008. It references a USA Today poll in which respondants rated the Senator on some key points:

"When respondents were asked if they would rate Clinton highly (4 or 5 on a 5-point scale):

# Only 36 percent said she could handle the situation in Iraq if elected president.

# Just 38 percent said she would effectively protect the country from terrorist attack.

# 59 percent thought Clinton is not strong on national security.

# 42 percent said she would use military force wisely as president.

# 56 percent doubted she could handle an international crisis.

# Only half said she is a strong and decisive leader.

Overall, 37 percent said they "strongly disagree" or "somewhat disagree" with the statement "Hillary Clinton is tough enough to president.""

For those of you who are terrified of this woman, don't be. I think that the hype surrounding Hillary's future run is merely a novelty being entertained by the media. They know her recent courtship of conservatives is a snow-job but they are still intrigued and in love with the idea that she might actually pull the thing off. But when it comes down to the day, nobody is going to want this liberal baby-boomer commanding our miltary in a time of war - period. Our country is not that crazy yet. If Mrs. Clinton runs, you will see the largest conservative turnout ever and she will be trounced unmercifully.
